Food Crawl at Seigo Japanese Cuisine

"Local Guide Surabaya" photo by @fahmiadimara

Yesterday we ‘re visited Seigo Japanese Cuisine Restaurant to discover new experience on tasting Japanese cuisine for the first time since their grand opening the month before. As Japanese restaurant. They serve a wide array of authentic Japanese cuisine, including the rare menu such as Abalone and Wagyu beef that couldn’t be found easily at many restaurants in Surabaya.

Upon entering a restaurant, I was greeted with the expression “irasshaimase” meaning “welcome, please come in”. The waiter or waitress asked me how many people in my party and then lead me to the table. But for this time when I said that I was member of Surabaya Local Guides they lead me to the special room, seems like their VIP room or only for certain guest. The room has two doors and separated wide table which has six to ten chairs on its side.

After seated, the waiters give us a warm smile and place refilled ocha on our table with many of traditional-looked Japanese cups. The chopsticks are placed on the table with a small plate for the sauce and medium plate for the dishes, all the things are already set. The menu is illustrated, they have the pictures of each menu. Once we have finished ordering, the waitress will repeat the order back for confirmation.

Last night we have 9 orders for our dinner, here is the list:
Nori Taco Special Sushi
Sushi Nori Tempura 6 pc
Flossy Tuna with Tamago and Cheese Sushi Roll
Unagi Nentai Cheese Roll
Salmon Skin Roll
Udon Katsu Curry
Japanese Pasta Mix Katsu
Seigo Rice and Noodle Mix Grill
Spicy Tuna

Once the order is ready to serve, the waiters enter the room with the food and ask about what we need, like if you don’t like to use chopstick they will get the spoon for you. We spent 3 hours to finish our dinner and took some photos. In my opinion, the taste is different with the other Japanese restaurant that I ever tried before, taste so good. They also set the food (plating) very well, so interesting.

Well, the conclusion of our foodcrawl is…
“The taste is amazing, the ambience is perfect and they serve the customer with a great service”
Thank you for having us !

QC Ranger

Good day readers! this time let me introduce you my colleagues. I usually call ourselves as QC ranger because there are six of us. We work together in Wingsfood as quality control in microbiology laboratory. We spend 7 hours per day in the laboratory. Our task is to prevent Microbial contaminants enter a biomanufacturing production system and impact the product outcomes.

We come from different education background, but many of us were graduated from biology department. Even though we study different field before but now we have to focus in specific field: food science, food technology, and industrial microbiology. Since our company is one of the large food company, so we must understand many products safety and standard.

During the weekday, we always take the quality time together. 1 day per week on every Wednesday. We usually playing badminton or futsal after work. We believe that it can be the great way to communicate and bond with the team. it can also boost our competitive spirit and motivate us to work better. After that we always have a dinner together in several unique places. Sometimes, we also have a vacation together every 2 or 3 months and we plan it seriously just like when we have to work, lol.

Last time (in this month) we went dinner to Ichi Sushi and Mie Akhirat which located in Gresik Kota Baru after playing badminton. We have the moment together for 4 hours including the workout. Not too much but that is what we call quality time. Telling any jokes or stories, sharing any experiences, taking some photos, that’s what we do. Seems so simple but it’s really satisfying life moment on the week.
