Ladies and Gentleman, Welcome to Incheon International Airport

On my first day in Korea, i have my first step in the 2nd world's best airport, Incheon. Combined with misty scenery and Seoul warm temperature (around 200-22o celcius), that's really make my day. After take the baggage and dealing with airport imigration staff, i walk around inside the airport looking for the tourist information centre. Briefly, i feel excited with the airport interior design and unique architecture. Incheon has plenty of shops, restaurant, medical centre and an impressive devices like self-check in device. Airport Staff

Incheon has nice airport staff, they are so kind and friendly to the passengers. It also has "ask me" staff, they are functioned to be like mobile information centre. They usually said "annyeonghaseyo, dangsin-eun naege amugeosdo yocheonghal su iss seubnida" which literally means "hello, you can ask me anything". Sometimes, we could meet old man or old lady which wear blue plain jacket, the airport employed them as cleaning service. We may also meet some teenagers who is employed in Maglev and subway station inside the airport. If we have bad condition about our health, we could find medical staff in airport medical centre. They will offer services like check up, dental services, and emergencies.

Mobile and Internet Access

Incheon is so huge, but it has so many free wi-fi corner. Most of it named as "airport_wifi" and it has 6 mbps internet connection speed. Different with Hongkong Int' airport which need to login first to get an internet access, but at Incheon you don't need to do anything, just connect. The wi-fi service areas include passenger terminals and concourses, the fastest one is in Duty-free Area, Landside, Near Arrivals A and E (2nd floor); Airside, Near gates 14 and 30 (3rd floor). The free internet service is available everytime (day and night). Besides the internet access, Incheon also has free computers because they realize that everyone might not have or bring a laptop or smartphone to get the free wifi offered by the airport, so there are computers which free to used by everyone. So accommodating !

Airport Shop

In  glance, Incheon looks like a mall. It has so many shops inside, from the cheapest one like Lotteria (fast food restaurant) till the luxurious shop like Marient (clothing, souvenirs, and accessories shop). If you have so much time to spend, be sure to look around the shop inside the airport. Basically, Incheon has various kind of shop such as souvenirs shop, clothing shop, accessories shop, technology shop, mini market, etc.

1. Incheon always keep the sign read-able by the passengers, especially for the tourist because they put the multi-letter sign consist of hangul and alphabet, so we won't confused with the sign.

2. Incheon has movie theater so you can catch the latest Korean movies or Hollywood blockbuster at two of Incheon Airports movie theaters. Two might seem like too many, but it’s just awesome for me!

3. Incheon has golf course which located really, really close to the airport. Getting out in the sun and hitting a few balls make for a nice relaxing day. You can booking on www.sky72.com

4. Incheon has Spa and Sauna. If you’re on a lay over at Incheon Airport and have a few hours to spend, take a moment to relax at the spa. You can even sleep there so you won't get panda eye.

Purr Cat Cafe

4 months ago I have told you about my friend named Fathiya, right? When we were in thailand, she was the bravest girl that I have ever met because she wanted to visit so many unique place in another country alone. On February 14 after the daily program is over, she told me if she wanted to go to some unique place called Purr Cat Cafe. Its commonly called Cat’s Cafe because it had a lot of cats. Because its already sunset, so she asked me to go with her.

Actually we did not know exactly where it’s located. Fathiya asked two of her thai friends, Heng Thawantit and Nitchakan Nawapusanakanok from Kasetsart University to join with us and I think we have found thai-tour guide without any charge hehe. Along the journey, we had to get ride on BTS but since the BTS station located inside the Siam Paragon Mall so we also have to got down on three stairs at the Mall after took off the ticket. After that we trough the crowd of protesters and walked as far as one kilometers.  Around ten minutes walk from the BTS at Thong Lor on Sukhumvit Soi 53, Purr Cat Cafe is located on a quiet residential street in a small house. Over the cloudy sky I just hope it does not rain until we reached our destination.

The Building is look like a cottage-like building. There's a small western garden with white cast iron furniture that gives an anglo and feminine atmosphere before you step inside. The interior is look like a british cottage: the white brick and dark wood walls against dainty armchairs and sofas shout afternoon tea all the way. Innumerable framed cat pictures and photographs tacked on the walls really give a tidy and polished vibe, while even more cat figures and artworks, both vintage and new, decorate every nook and cranny without being too ornate. Two iconic cat heads on the grey brick wall in the first room can also be made to order. This is a place that takes its cats seriously. Before you enter you have to take off your shoes, wash your hands and read the cat rules – don’t poke them, tease them, pick them up or feed them human cake. Totally, we spent around 4 hours in there. Thank you so much to Fathiya and Heng for took their time to shooting the video.

Thai Language Class

Attended the language class was the one of my activity on the 2nd day in Thailand. Absolutely, it’s about language and maybe you had know that I hate this lesson. Uh.. first thing that I had thinking about is there will be so many letter which is had ‘almost’ the same shape with Javanese letter. Some unidentified letter just look alike javanese’s alphabet. To be honest, I hate that letter haha. But it’s really different, and since I had to learn the language with an ordinary letter. I mean that we used english alphabet on that time. So I think it could be easier. And I had take a photo with the teacher, in Thai language we called her 'ครู' (Khrū). There’s one things that makes me surprised, Thai language had 5 different tones !
