Hi everyone...
nice to meet you again. I'm so glad that you still want to come again to visit
my blog, hehehe. Today I'll post about Surabaya Night Cruise. We will explore
Surabaya again. Such a nightstalker isn't it ? as your information that
Surabaya is the second of the biggest city in Indonesia after Jakarta. Peoples
called it 'Surabaya Night Life'. Why peoples called it like that ? Well, there
is some reasons about it. First, there's some place that always open for 24
hours. Second, there is some place that only open at night until dawn. Third,
there is some place that always crowded. Forth, There is some place which start
open at dawn time.
First, we went to Monkasel, the biggest submarine monument in asia. there is a huge submarine and wide park behind it. Peoples called it skate-park because there is skate-play ground. It's located in the center of Surabaya. it was a living museum where visitors are free to run around alone to pull,
press & bang on anything within reach. Turning the hatches of the
torpedo tubes, looking for the torpedo launch buttons & standing on
the command deck barking out orders, it’s every man-child’s fantasy.
Obviously it is old, no country would actually put on display a new
advanced stealth submarine for children to run around on.
Second, we went to Bazar, it looks similar with a little market but it's not a daily market. It's only open if there is a big even held such as independence day. In Bazar we have everything. especially everything that related with food. started from traditional food until modern food. Some registration process is needed to open a stan.
Third, we went to chinese store at Kapasan st. which located in north of Surabaya. Chinese store sell chinese food and traditional medicine. Some of chinese store sell home furnishings such as red candle, incense, chinese sculpture, etc. There is two chinese store in Surabaya (as I known). Kapasan Chinese Store and Kya-kya.
Taman Bungkul was the forth place that we had visited last night. It's a park which located in the middle of Surabaya. It's located 3 miles from Monkasel. There is so many people gather around here. Even it just a park, Taman Bungkul have a high security. a group police always patrol outside the park.
The last was Rawon Setan which located at Embong Malang st. Rawon setan means "Rawon which cooked by an evil". It was a famous restaurant in Surabaya that sell rawon which is the one of Indonesian food. In the beginning Rawon Setan open from 23.00 PM until 04.00 Pm but now Rawon Setan open for 24 hours.
