Germany at World cup 2018

Here I make a short review about Germany and their potential in the biggest football competition of the year, World cup 2018. As the FIFA’s top team (until today), Germany has great potential to win the competition. Qualified easily with 10 wins from 10 matches in UEFA qualifying Group C and won the Confederations Cup last summer in Russia with half of the first team rested is a proof of their strengths.

Costume

Die Mannschaft  will show up with the classic style 1990’s costume, white and black. As you can see, the jersey builds on with an improved and reworked silhouette and dropped shoulder cut lines. You will find the words ‘Die Mannschaft’ on the reverse of the neck. The away jersey has the same pattern with green shirt with white shorts, just like the often used alternative color combination.

Coach

Joachim Low is the most competent coach to handle the monster squad such as Germany. With his presence in World Cup 2018, he is nearly to become the second manager to win the tournament twice after Italian legend, Vittorio Pozzo. Low has built a philosophy that revolves around player types, rather than the player quality.

Joachim Low's Playstyle

Basically, Germany has the 4-2-3-1 formation but often formed into a 5-1-4-1 in defence, with five players being ready to counter attack the minute the opponents lost the ball. This shows great understanding and flexibility.
