Goodnight ladies and gentleman. Today i want to share about my experience on clothing. Truthfully, I
never cared too much about fashion when I was young. Growing up, I was
content with my oversized graphic tees and jeans. And this look carried
me well into my twenties.
But when I decided to man and upgrade my look, I had a hard time figuring out how. I went through lots of trial and error — lots and lots of error (about clothing)— and recently I just want to connect all the dots to keep myself learn and fix my style.
First, I want to tell you, I'm NOT a fashion expert.
While other experts have dedicated their lives to fashion and style, I just want to say "I've been there, buddy". I know
what it's like to be a nerdy one. I know and understand the struggles,
and I believe that gives me unique perspective on clothing and it's totally Subjective. Notice that I never suggest you to get the item with these kind of prices. But at least, I let you know why i choose the items.
Now let's get started with this imaginary set.
First, I pick a piece of 2 color striped polo shirt from Ralph Lauren. It looks casual and it shows simple male identity in the present, about informal dress and behavior. Second, I have dark jeans from Stone Island. Although there are so many brand out there which sell mens jeans, but i prefer choose SI to the others. SI included as premium Italian fashion brand with a wide range of high quality casual wear. Third, I choose black-white Converse black sneaker. Why i rather use sneakers than the others? Cause it provides a support for the feet while doing strenuous activities like
running, playing various sports and doing high-impact exercises. How about the brand? Converse and Vans are my favorite. Fourth, I get the glasses from Tom Ford and Gucci watch. Because i want to looked a little bit nerdy but still cool with a black casual watch in my left hand. Furthermore, I also think that they (glasses and watches) are one set and still related each other. 'Cause as far i know, Tom Ford is a fashion designer who was the Creative Director of Gucci in 1994-2004. The last is Dirk Bikkembergs leather belt. Actually, for more casual looks, i need to leave my shirt untucked and cover the waistband, which means i don't
need a belt. But when we walking around or doing strenuous activities, sometimes we need to lift up our shirt to look more casual. That is why we need to wear a belt to covering our waistband for better looks.
